Edwardsburg man charged after CCDET steroid raid
Published 8:35am Thursday, October 22, 2009Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announced that on Tuesday, Oct. 20, a search warrant was executed in the 68000 block of Morton Drive in Ontwa Township.
The investigation was a joint effort between CCDET, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and U.S. postal inspectors.
During the investigation detectives located an amount of suspected steroids and related items.
Detectives also located a taser device during the search.
One adult male subject was arrested for possession of steroids with intent to deliver and possession of a taser/stun gun.
Tony Wayne Macik of Morton Drive, Edwardsburg, was arraigned Wednesday on the following felony charges before Judge Stacey Rentfrow in Cass County’s Fourth District Court:
• Controlled substance – creation/delivery of an analogue.
• Weapons – taser – possession or sale of controlled substance – possession/analogues – two counts.
• Weapons – felony firearms – four counts.
Macik’s bond was set at $200,000.
This matter remains under investigation.
