Chieftain freshmen boys team tops Trojans

The Dowagiac freshmen boys’ basketball team defeated host Plainwell 67-63 Tuesday night.

The Chieftain junior varsity fell to the Trojans 80-70.

Cal Cox led the Chieftains with 22 points, while both Brett Scanlon and Todd McIntyre scored 16.

Tyler Clark scored 23 points for Dowagiac, while Brendon Murray added 13.

The Chieftains are back on the court Thursday against Gull Lake.
