Dowagiac’s a very giving community

To the editor:

St. Vincent de Paul Society of Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church would like to thank all who donated in helping to feed the low-income in the Dowagiac area during the holiday season.

We are a very giving community.

At Thanksgiving we gave out 210 baskets of food, which fed 490 people.

For Christmas we gave out 186 baskets of food, which fed 434 people, plus toys for the many children.

A special and grateful thank-you to all who donated food, money and toys to help make the food baskets possible:
