Free Federated Church movies offered Friday

The members of Federated Church in Dowagiac offer to all kids in our community the opportunity to experience good, wholesome entertainment just like their parents and grandparents experienced at the Saturday Movie Matinees.

They feel that the youth in our community have been saturated with enough sex and violence on TV as well as on some video games to have robbed them of the beautiful innocence of childhood.

They would like to give back to them a portion of those innocent days that they enjoyed, a few hours of clean entertainment, when no one was killed or maimed.

They will offer over the summer months a variety of entertainment, some very old, some very new, but all of it fit to be seen and enjoyed by all ages.

The movies are free, so is the popcorn, so encourage your kids to put down the video game controller, get off the couch and come down to Federated Church at 202 Center St. in Dowagiac on Friday afternoons at 3.

At Federated Church, the Friday Christian Kids Movie Matinee with free movies and popcorn starts at 3 sharp and finishes about 5.

Come and see wholesome movies for children of all ages with a cartoon and serial movies with a great feature length movie

Showing June 15, "Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein."

Also showing this week, a great romp with Spanky, Alfalfa, Darla, Buckwheat and the rest of the Little Rascals.
