Rotary mentor interning with Missouri church

By JOHN EBY / Dowagiac Daily News

Greg Neumayer, Dowagiac Rotary Club college mentor along with the Smith sisters, Mandy and Ashley, and Mallory Cox, visited Thursday noon's luncheon.

"I wasn't able to be here last summer to let everyone know what's going on," Neumayer said. "I ended up traveling all summer to different youth camps" in Kansas, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.

"This summer," he said, "I'm going to be in St. Charles, Mo. I leave in a week to intern with a church. My degree will be in ministry and philosophy from Bethel College" in Mishawaka, Ind.

Neumayer, of Cassopolis, was home-schooled.

"The main thing I'm going to be doing is be involved in the community and figure out how we can meet needs," he said.

"There are some very visionary people I'm excited to be working with."

"As a college student, I get to go out to basic (Rotary Youth Leadership Award) camps and work alongside some of the high school student. Thank you for that opportunity. It's my passion and I love doing that," he said.
